Water is a limited resource – therefore handling of it means responsibility. Water is the most important resource on our planet. For people, animals, plants and microorganisms. Thus, water is not only a living environment, energy carrier and transport medium, but also an important means for each kind of production.
The total water supply remained largely constant throughout history. 2000 years ago, 200 to 300 million inhabitants of our planet could use theavailable resources. Today, almost 7 billion people have to manage with nearly the same amount of water. As a result, water as a resource which for a long time was freely available in manyplaces on this world is currently in grave danger.
